background

First Landing: On April 26 , 1607 , English colonists landed in a cape. They named the place Cape Henry and marked them with a cross. Then they drove into a large estuary and founded a settlement that they called after the then King James I. Jamestown was the first permanent English settlement in North America.

Virginia Beach and Bilbao are connected by the sea cable Marea, and the 6,600 km long Internet line was moved in 2016/17 on behalf of Microsoft and Facebook.
